The trip had been long, and even if he was used to flying horses between the states and europe it was still a nuisance. Everything had gone just fine, orwell, almost everything. About four miles from Dál Riata the truck had broken down. They'd waited for 6 hours for a mechanic, and then realized the 11 horses in the truck shouldn't have to go through this. The solution had been to walk all the horses about a mile in the opposite direction of Dál Riata to a nearby stable for boarding for the night. Jimmy had helped orchestrate everything, but didn't feel t would work for him. The other ten horses were on the truck and going further than he was, and for him, the four miles away stable was way to close for him to arrive one day late. He decided to ride to the stable. However, all his stuff was crammed at the back behind a million other things. So, bareback it is. The weather was nice and everything worked fine during the walk. That is, until he got to Dál Riata.

Getting in on the grounds was easy, but they seemed empty, at least no people were around. 'Might be dinnertime', Jimmy thought. A woman stepped out to greet him, red hair and green eyes. He was about to happily greet her when she said
'Please dismount your horse. You aren't aloud to ride here unless you have permission from the Dál Riata staff, or me.' Jimmy got off Stayce and he kinda realized how this must look. He didn't usually ride around without riding clothes or a helmet on a horse with no saddle. He put out his hand for her to shake.
'I'm Jimmy Castle, and I have a very good reason as to why I'm not arriving with a truck.' He smiled as charmingly as he could.
'Jimmy? Oh! Oh. We've only spoken on the phone. I'm Holly. I thought you'd be... older.' She seemed to notice how harsh her words were and tried a kind smile to make it better. They shook hands.
'Yeah... I get that a lot. ' Jimmy scratched the back of his head, feeling a bit awkward. 'Where can I put Stayce? She hasn't had fresh water for a while..' Holly showed him and Stayce into the stables and Stayce got boarding. She didn't throw herself at the water, so she didn't seem to have bothered with being without water, but Jimmy was still the kind of person who was really careful with his horses, and he cared.

Jimmy told Holly about the circumstances of the broken down truck and got to borrow a car to go and pick up his luggage. Everything was cleared and the rumor of the week was that the new teacher was a cowboy who rode from torn to town to help people jumping their horse. Jimmy himself had laughed when he heard it. Obviously no one thought it was true, but most of his students had had the initial response of finding him cool, even though he looked young. And after a while his skills spoke for themselves.
