[ tumblr link ]hey I actually finished a thing! fun fact, this was just gonna be a basic ref sheet like you see on the right, but then I got carried away and did experimental lighting and a half-assed sort-of background instead.
This is Roux, one of the several Hollow Knight OCs that happened in my note doodles. They’re modeled vaguely after wasp-mimic moths. I really wanted to have something with eye patterns on wings and Roux turned out to be the perfect opportunity for that. They’re part of the Grimm Troupe and are involved with maintaining the flames for rituals (literally just because I like to draw them with a flame in their hand).

Aah thanks! I have a habit of just using texture overlays in place of actually drawing backgrounds, which is what I did here and took maybe a few minutes tops. I really need to stop wussing out and do environmental backgrounds sometime
