Description
Stuart: "I used to be in the Navy. I can build a ship, I wrote a book about it.I built that building over there (points to office block) I built it with my bare hands, I can build anything."
Me: "What do you do nowadays?"
Stuart: "I walk everywhere."
Me: "Where you from?"
Stuart: "A small town near Gisborne."
Me: "You walked from Gisborne?" (it's 500km from Auckland)
Stuart: "Fuck off!" (laughs)
"I hate the fuckin' government."
Me: "Don't we all?"
Stuart: "I hate the fuckin' police. I hate the Maori boys, we fight all the time."
"You see that rubbish bin?"
Me: "Yeah"
Stuart: "It's a beautiful thing."
Me: "Why?"
Stuart: "Because there's a meal in there. It's a beautiful thing. I can see my fuckin' arse in there."
Me: "Here, get yourself a coffee to go with it."
Stuart: "Cheers." (shakes hands)
I looked at my palm and it had turned black.
