Hi Adam, firstly this is a very well taken shot. Many people experiment with shots like these and don't come any where near, you've really chosen great colors, interesting shapes and your shutter speed/aperture are great too. The fact that your picture was labeled "critique requested" made me give it a closer inspection and I think the only two things that I could possibly add are: 1) the reflections of the lights in the glass - perhaps you've intentionally captured them, but I think they take some of the dreaminess away from the picture. 2) and this too is perhaps more a personal preference and style, but the bottom of the glass included in the picture also draws me away from the scene a bit. Again, really just trying to mention the details, the shot is really stunning!!!

The harshest reflection is one I had trouble with, the small one in the middle. The other two weren't too bad, and I didn't feel took too much away from the image, though I would rather they weren't there.
The trouble I had was I was using a wine glass, and it was a sunny day. I was getting reflections of the window, and of the flashes I was using, and this is something I need to address next time!
I left the bottom there (though it is the top, the imagine is flipped vertically) as I felt it gave it an interesting look. I liked the smokiness developing from the drops that hadn't immediately sunk, like a ground mist, and I didn't want this too close to the edge.
However these are all things I will look to adjust next time. I think using a container with flat edges will help me!
