I've only been to Bunbury once so I was pleased to find this beach. It was so interesting.

Very nice!!!
Funny, until I saw this picture I just assumed you lived in NSW, like "everybody else" (meaning all the other Australians I know). But this picture prompted me look up "Albany Australia" in Google Earth...
Neat!
You live kind off the beaten track, don't you???

Isn't Google Earth a wonderful tool, so much better than an atlas.
Although Albany is my main shopping town, I live in a very small place called Frankland which is 1 hour north and 1/2 hour west drive of Albany and it's very difficult to find on Google Earth

Bunbury beach seems to be in good detail. Frankland looks like a green patchwork with some dazzling blue ponds...
Very peculiar pond formation...
specially at 34 degrees 16'13.71 S 117 degrees 47'21.50" E
Quite interesting, actually. Looks pretty. What is the main crop?
It seems some pictures were taken during spring (light green) and others during the dry period (winter????)
So different from where I live!!!
Try typing "rua rocha, São Paulo, Brasil" in the seach box. Thats my street. The marker is on top of a big grey roof, my house is one of the orange roofs on the other side of the street...

The main crops around my area are canolla and wheat, vineyards and a huge olive grove + several tree farms. We are also sheep country.

Our summers are very dry and the winter usually wet, however, the past couple of years we have had less rainfall than usual. So for half the year, summer, our paddocks are mainly brown, and in winter they are green. At the moment we are waiting for the first rain to start and soon after that, within a few days, the paddocks have a tinge of green which is always a longed for sight after the heat and dryness of the summer months.

Sorry, I wrote a reply a couple of weeks ago, but it seems it didn't post...

It's strange for me that summer is the dry period. Where I live, on the East coast of South America, summer is time for torrential rain that floods rivers, erode mountains, carve chunks of hills that can block main roads. But then again, its a very wet area - so much so that we have a rainforest, just like the East coast of Australia.

The dryest period is Fall (April to July)

I think the 'top end' of Australia would be more like your seasons.

To tell the truth, Bunbury Western Australia, isn't a very beautiful place. This was about the best place I could find to use my camera and it is only a very small area.
