A variant cover I did for Wildstorm's THUNDERCATS: HAMMERHAND'S REVENGE #2, back in the halcyon days of 2003. Ooh, ah.Before anyone starts waxing nostalgic about THUNDERCATS, lemme hasten to add that I neither know nor care about the franchise one iota; what little I saw of one or two episodes thrilled me not. (Then again, by the time the show was airing, I was already outside its target demographic.) The closest connection I have to the THUNDERCATS is that one of my Kubert-school teachers, the great Jose Delbo, used to draw the Star Comics adaptation of the show. Ooh, ah, again.

I used to have one thundercats video... Didn't really care for it so I gave it as a pressent to one of my friends... But again you have captured the action in this pic, it's amazin' how you always manage to do it ^-^

I think all one needs to know to get something out of this is "catgirl" and "tentacles".
No waxing and/or waning needed.
One 80's franchise you'd enjoy is Centurions, but Konami kind of allready updated it when they did Amdriver.
Centurions whas pretty sucky outside of the quality of its animation anyhow. Thank bob for outsourcing.

I once met the Thundercats, then one of those bastards stole my Ham Sandwhich, so I stopped watching their cartoon....how's that for pay back

Thundercats suffered from constant changes in artists and writers. They tried adding new characters to liven things up in the final season, but that only sounded the final death knell.

I never personally liked the show all too much, but I do remember that one time I was the Foreman of a jobsite, and I asked all of the Laborers to move a HEFTY roll of Environmental Silt together. They all bent down, and without a hitch they all said together, "Thunder... Thunder.... THUNDER~! - HOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" and picked the blasted thing up.

I love Thundercats, G.I. Joe and Transformers but lokking at them now is just being nostalgic and it was the best animation on TV at the time but the stories are so stupid half the time it hurts. We could've used more show like Avatar, although I'm far from there demographic age I still enjoy it. Whateva

I really like the shading you did on the branches, it looks like it'd be so hard to do with ink, very meticulous ! The speed lines are very effective as well, awesome.

Bah, you do the covers, people buy the magazine actually THINKING that is your art inside and them... they start to not show interest in magazine's with your art cuz'they think it's some other artist lame comic.That backfires, man.

THUNDERCATS ARE ON THE MOVE! THUNDERCATS ARE LOOSE! They don't seem all that loose OR on the move to me right now. (^-') My favorite detail about this one; Cheetara's boobs aren't exaggerated, like they seem to be in oh so many artist's works. They REALLY weren't all THAT big. Nice work with them, as well as everything else, in this one.
