You can download all the Gimp Palette (.gpl) files on Sta.shReplacing my old, individual palettes with this compilation.
These color palettes have been composed to the best of my ability using screenshots from the show. I have strived to use high quality screenshots from daylight scenes wherever possible.
I have attempted to order the colors consistently as follows,
- Strokes/Outlines before Fill before Shadow
- Gradients from lighter to darker tones, most gradients consist of only two colors but a few have three or four
- Eye gleams/highlights from lighter to darker
There may be errors or some colors that are off, especially on the finer details like cutie marks. If you find anything wrong, or know of a scene where some small detail is particularly visible, please let me know.
You are free to use these palettes as you like, but please don't post them elsewhere. I put a lot of work into this, and will try to keep it updated.

This is a very helpful set of palettes! Often I'd have to eyedrop a screencap from the show or jot down the color codes to ensure consistency. Not anymore!

I wonder how one would systematically translate the normal, daytime colors to the nighttime palette (i.e. as seen in Elements of Harmony, Luna Eclipsed, etc.)?
As far as I know, new Luna has only been seen at night....

Well, I believe I checked, and if you take a daytime shot from one episode and a shot from Luna Eclipsed, and check the colors of Twilight in both, they are the same colors in most scenes. Unless there are shadows or magic effects or stuff like that. In many night time scenes it is only the background that is darker.
So the colors I've listed for Luna should be fine for daylight scenes.
