Nice to have such a story that relates to such a harmless creature as the ladybug is.. The place I grew up in has a saying about them, that roughly translated goes like:
Little lady bug, fly off to heaven and get me some bread.
You said that mostly when you foun the bug and got him on your finger, to gently blow him off so that he would fly away...

Our convo here is getting interesting... I am from Brazil. And, here, we have a famous meme, which is: "Is there bread is heaven"? The reason why this meme exists is very sad, but also funny.
A famous Brazilian comedian created a "fanfiction" story: he said that a very poor child was dying because of starvation. So that starving and poor kid looked at his/her mother and asked: "Mother, is there bread in haven"? Then the child dies, after saying it.
That story that the comedian tells us is not 100% real, it didn't happen that way. Of course, lots of poor children die because of starvation, but the story he tells us is probably "fanfiction". So that became a meme in Brazil because the story is sad, but the comedian tells it in a way that makes us think it is funny, "somehow" (because things did not happen the way he describes). That's crazy, I know!
So, yeah, knowing that you have a saying in your country in which people tell a ladybug/ladybird to fly off to heaven and get some bread is something that will remind us Brazilians about our meme. That's something very unexpected!
Now I am curious... Where are you from, anyway?
