Description
At the short-lived war at Geredith, while heavily armed and armored Wraith units pinned the majority of Imperial Guard and Space Marine defenders in massive engagements, aspect warriors infiltrated the belly of Fortress of St. Marko, silencing guns, cutting off reinforcements, and placing webway portals.Here, a lone Banshee warrior cuts her way through an Iron Knight marine and a squad of Jormungadian Jaegers, with a racially typical arrogant statement.
I'll probably keep touching this up for quite a while.

Poor guardsmen, if I was one of them and saw the space marine getting cutdown, I would run for it (or try to) because if a heavily armed, very well trained space marine can't kill a banshee, what chance would a small group of Guardsmen have, (unless they are lucky). The guardsmen in this picture look quite advance compared to many of the other regiments? They must have come from a forge world. How did the banshee got pass the heavy bolter though? Was she too fast? Any way wonderful picture!

And I imagine quick moves, technosorcery, and Eldar trickery were at play.

and btw for the ppl who didn't know, all the banshee would have to do is scream, and all of the IG would be useless, and a Marine who's standing at the entrance vs. a Banshee will have problems too.

The human bodies remind me more of Star Wars than 40k, but that's just me. The art shift between Banshee and background is noticeable, however.

Seeing how it's the Imperial Guard? They'd die anyways lol. Either get shot from the Commendant or get shot by a nearby Space Marine XD. I would just drop my gun, find something to calm my nerves and just sit down and wait lol.

A commissar doesn't seem to be preseant and the marine would be a little busy with the Eldar. Personally, I would have advocated sealing the door and rigging the hall with explosives.

...I didn't know that was what they were called. But the idea was a type of lightweight armored boot that had maximum flexibility to allow for both increased agility and better grip on rough surfaces.

These socks are the essential part of a japanese kimono. But anyway, I thought you went on a ninja look, what is a bit different from what the battlefield role of a banshee is. Dont get me wrong, the pic is completly awesome, but the space marine (even tough you chose a Imperial Fists successor chapter to die = me grateful)supported by a squad of Guardsmen with what I see is a heavy machine gun is a bit way too much for only one banshee to take on. The marine alone would have been too much for a lone banshee.

it depends how close the banshee was to the space marine befor he tryed to kill her, she might have stuned him with a granade then stabed him

Banshees are too quick for space marine targetting auspexes to render in time, and the eldar, as a race, have perfected hitting the neck joints in power armour. And as for guardsmen, they couldn't take out a snotling with a nuclear bomb.

agreed, gurdsmen a terrible, there only there to slow down an enemy so they can be destrouyed by heavy fire, they need constant heavy support to be affective

If the Banshees are so good, then how come the Ultramarines took out over 200 of them in a single battle? They arent too quick for targeting auspexes cause that would rival their speed with an assult bike! Face it, they are very much killable. Just because you think the Eldar are the best doesnt make them so.
Both Space Marines and Eldar are elite armies so they would at least be peer-to-peer on the battlefield.

Um, actually, I collect marines, and love them, on the other hand I hate Eldar, they're so thin and flimsy BUT that doesn't mean I neglect the details. How much background research have you done? Yeah, an army of marines could wipe them out, but a single banshee can kill a single marine no sweat. If there were two marines, one would kill the banshee while the other one was being attacked. Simple strategy and such.
I've only ever collected marines and chaos marines for 40k, and yeah, they rock, but banshees destroy them in melee combat, with the exception of lightning claw fitted commanders *snigger*

Well, I`ve had more than a couple of battles where my assult space marines took out banshees with relativistic ease. Not to mention the times my tactical and devastator squads shot them down long before they ever reached CC range. In a "fluff" battle setting Id say that CC units like assult marines, marine officers with CC weapons, berserkers, raptors, stormboys and such would stand a chance when dealing 1v1 with a banshee. Even if Banshees are CC godesses. If the assulted squad was packing long range, then the Banshees would have a gigantic advantage if they get in CC before they get killed from afar. In this case the Banshees would have to eithar outrun or dodge bullets (they are fast, but not THAT fast), or sneak attack and charge the enemy before they had a chance to fire at them.
