So, I hauled out my sadly neglected set of watercolors this week and randomly started messing around with it, mixing it with pencil sketches, and inspiration hit me like a brick! Sali here was only the beginning, the first experiment, if you will. Once I started I couldn't stop--I haven't been this happy painting anything in months! I've got three more watercolor pieces finished already. Gah, it feels so good to play around with new things and not have to worry about the results. I'll be posting the others over the next few days, so stay tuned!
Dedicated to *MikeDoscher for his kindness and generosity these past months! Without it, I would have far less time to have fun with experiments like these.

Aw! Sali! *glomps* You don't do NEARLY enough paintings of Sali! One of my favorite pictures of yours (of all time) is the picture of sali holding the gemstones with the sakura branch in his hair, the pic is hanging on my wall right behind my computer screen. I really love the way you painted the sakura branches in this one though.

The coloring is really beautiful, and the highlights and shadows in the flower are magical! The character herself looks stunning and so elegant as well!
