anyone 'suspicous' or don't believe in the intentions can just continue on in their lifes same as usual, too lazy to help any charity, while others are going to actually make a difference and make the world a better place.

isn't that what kony is all about?

anyone who says it is scam can just continue spending their money on junk for all i care.

xcvi In reply to IzEllie [2012-04-26 07:07:42 +0000 UTC]

they make it seem like their cause is legitimate but thats all propaganda.. of course they're going to advertise, because they want money

TRUE, charities cannot donate 100% of their profits to the cause, otherwise they wouldn't stay standing.. but invisible children is not a good cause. uganda has a boat load of oil under them, the whole reason they're promoting this kony stuff is to get troops into uganda to say "oops kony isn't here.. but while we're at it... there's some oil we need...". kony and the LRA haven't been active for something like 8 years and they weren't even very notable to begin with. the kony thing has been blown WAY out of proportion, when in fact, there are millions of war lords exactly like him all throughout africa, he's a nobody, they're just shining the light on him to have an excuse to get troops in there to control the oil

but this is one 'charity' out of BILLIONS there are far more worthwhile than this, the people refusing to donate to this with good reason aren't refusing to donate to charity in general, they're refusing to give their money to something that doesn't deserve it and saving it for something that they do feel strongly about

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ChingChong-Kun In reply to xcvi [2012-07-13 03:05:33 +0000 UTC]

Um... I was obviously exaggerating on saying millions.. but what I mean is Kony wasn't the only one... but isn't it a little late? xD I mean, most people have already forgotten about the whole mess lol.

Just because I refuse to donate to one charity doesn't mean I refuse to donate to any charity. Also, I'm not too lazy to do some research.

Here are some articles from the Daily Monitor, a Ugandan newspaper:

Kony 2012 is a massive hoax for sweet sweet money. Instead of bying useles shit from some random dude, you should help red cross or UN, those two factions are actually trying to help people around world.

mescacchetti In reply to Finland-Man [2012-04-08 21:27:51 +0000 UTC]

They actually give about 75 percent of there money to the cause and the other 25 percent is to keep them running so they can pay for resources to keep helping people. invisible children have been helping people create sustainable living and protection in underdeveloped areas in Africa for 10 years now. the kony 2012 is just an idea to try and help spread there cause so more people can help get involved. that is all.

The kony. Thing is pretty suspicious and ive heard that small percentages go to the cause BUT..... we cant act we are better than him because we aren't doing anything. We are just saying that hes doing everything wrong at least some money is going to the cause ( emphasis on some. They should just give 100% of the money) we aren't giving anything at all but complaints which doesn't really help anything does it.

Please before you step into conclusions, do some research and don't take whatever shit they feed you.
I'm so sure that you don't know that Kony has been dead for years, and you didn't know who Kony was
before you saw the video and started spreading it around and the posters and etc.
Just because half hollywood celebs and many other social figures support it,
doesn't mean you shouldn't investigate the situation or do your homework on this.
This is a clear american propaganda funded by secret and federal american organisations.
It's a war propaganda, about pertoil that has been found in Uganda masked with the convinient video of Kony.
WAKE UP.

I certainly don't know, but it remains suspicious and very possible for a reason for the OIL in Iraq and the Arabic region. Why do they keep the black boxes which were seen by a worker, a secret. What do they have to hide? I wonder......

One just has to look at the guilty demeanor of our government surrounding 9/11 to know they did not want americans to know the truth. 411 days after, 9/11, Family members force bush to create a commission that didn't even investigate who did it. compare that to titanic commission - 6 days after event. pearl harbor- 9days, JFK - 7days after. The 911 cover-up is so obvious it makes me sick that half of americans will call me a nut-job.

Kony 2012 is pro american military intervention in Africa and lies about being a non profit organisation. You want to help?- give monthly donations to long term, decent humanitarian organisations such as amnesty international. DO NOT appeal for US military action in Africa. You would be bloodthirsty and sensationalist to buy into this sensationalist propaganda.

This is a scam, watch the video. That man's voice is cold and emotionless, he is paid to say what he said. Also you're insane if you think as soon as Kony is killed someone else wont take his place. The problems in Uganda and in Africa in general run much deeper then one person. This is just for the money, stop spreading this!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

chloenaruto In reply to PsychoticGenesis [2012-03-10 08:41:45 +0000 UTC]

First of all I have to agree with you on the part that someone else may take the place of Kony as soon as he’s killed. But then I don’t think this is really a justified reason why we shouldn’t’ help. We’re all going to die anyway, so why bother to go to a doctor when we’re sick? This might not be a very good example to illustrate my point… but I just think that sometimes the process is more important than the result. The process in which people try to care for others as well apart from themselves, the process in which we demand justice, is itself a beneficial one.
And I also watched the video and ended up almost crying. I don’t really think his voice is cold and emotionless…
Anyway try look at things from a different perspective
