Character for
Name: Dr. Bangle Liú
Age: A pleasant smile and dismissive wave, but if you were to ask nicely for the date, it would be April 15th.
Species: Demon
Rank: Commander with the attitude of a Force, only taking longer to rank by virtue of the speed of research, not her work ethic or otherwise.
Class: Research Head
Weapon: Ring Blade
Personality: Bangle is generally pleasant, and will go out of her way to be accommodating for those who work under her, along with her equal and higher-ranked peers, but like a snake in tall grass, if you tread on her, she will strike back with huge force. Bangle is the type of woman to work slow and steady in most situations, preferring to be as patient as possible and going for the sprint at the most opportune moments. She will take advantage of what she's given, and can be particularly manipulative if you engage her in conversation. As not all members in the HQ utilize sign language, she has taken to carrying about a tablet to input her dialogue, and will happily share this with you for conversation. She is particularly good at keeping a cool, collected face and always has a smile - even when drenched in the blood of battle. Bit unnerving, really. She has no moral qualms with killing, and in fact she quite enjoys the act. This woman moves with grace and poise, carefully calculating her body image to be as elegant as possible, emulating the smooth motion of her dance-light battling style. She is generally lonesome and introverted by nature.
Bio: Effectively raised by her brother , Bangle does not know much of her family beyond him, and the two still share an apartment - he works and tries to rank on par with her so that he can provide translation and simpler interaction, which Bangle appreciates endlessly. She was given every opportunity in the world from his sacrifices, and she will happily set you straight if you deride him within her vicinity. She has ways of knowing. Bangle was never one to make many friends due to her disability, and while she can get lonely, she does not mind terribly - after all, she had her studies, which she took to like a plant to good soil - quite literally - and has a doctorate in Botanical Biology. She adores plants, and is very protective of the massive greenhouses to which she tends to, each hosting a fully functional and damn near self-sustaining ecosystem within them - but she has a particular fondness for carnivorous plants, which require her to hunt down people who "won't be missed" with some regularity. Some members of the HQ are a little concerned as to what she does with the leftovers, after all, she and Piko were good friends... It doesn't help that her brother outright avoids her cooking, though they both insist it is because she is sub-par in this department and that he far prefers to cook for the two of them. Besides, much of her diet is vegetarian, but she is still suspect of some squicky behaviour.
Bangle is more than pleased to work within the researching laboratories of the headquarters and has developed multiple ghosts and side projects to wile away the time and see how effectively they can purge the wastes of those pesky angels, and would be extremely pleased if they were to ever capture one for study. She and her team are currently working on a serum derived from the blood of Ghosts and its effects on humans (willing or otherwise) and demons alike, wondering if they can weaponize the creatures in a way they hadn't yet thought of, and is grateful to Chapeau for allowing these opportunities and for providing the means to allow researching crews to wrangle in natural ghosts for study and improvement.
