Some really old piece I did, a big mix between painter and photoshop ^^ and about 100 layers only for the background book page lol (at that time I was still obsessed with layers and found the great capacity of photoshop 6 in that area lol )

Story
A long time ago, in a time and place where Kings were still on their thrones, and heros still travelling up and down in a quest for glory, Knights were the pride of every kingdoms
They were told to be the ones able to defend their lord, but they were also loved among the common people and praised for they high acts.But even if all of them were great people among the human kind,none of them could surpass the elite. Gods among the Knights were the Dragon Slayers, fighting the evil, Protecting with their life the Lord they gave allegiance to...
But none of them were best known than the two Paladins of Castelvadis, Erik Lamarche and Gwaldis St Georges.
Those 2 had been together since childhood, only survivors of the terrible attack of their village. After living during more than 2 months in the remains of their Viilage, they were found by a couple of Monks who began to teach them the holy way of God, but as the year passed, the Great Monk realised that those 2 kids had way more potential than just becomming Monks... After a few weeks of reflexion, he decided to ask Alexandre, the best known swordmaster in the kingdom, to teach them how to fight...
As the Great Monk expected, both Erik and Gwaldis showed impressive skills, After a few month of training they were near the level of their master, and it became evident that their fate was to be at the side of the 2 most powerful entities that were leading the destiny of the whole kingdom, both the church and the Army, they had to become Paladins.
And so they began to serve their Lord... Few years passed and all was going right... Except when really dark rumors began to reach high ranked peoples... since a few months ago, people had begun to tell stories about Dragons... Even if at first People thought it was just Tavern rumors, They finally realized that people kept disappearing and that in less than 2 months tens of villages had been destroyed...
At this time, Erik and Gwaldis were dealing with a little affair in an abbey not far away, and they werer requested to verify all those rumors... but when they arrived to the village they were supposed to visit, something really bad was waiting them... A Great Red Dragon was waiting over a pile of dead corpses, the vilage was more looking like a battlefield than a quiet trade place.
As they were trying to decide what to do, the Dragon finally felt their presence and they had no choice but to fight.Erik and Gwalids knew their chance were really slim, but they fought with all they had, throwing their life in the battle they kept fighting with the Dragon during a whole day, and, probably blessed by the hand of God, they finally killed the Dragon.
After this Battle, they were know as heros at each corner of the kingdom, And the Legend of Erik and Gwaldis, the 2 Dragon Slayers, wasn't told during a year, nor 10, but more like hundreds of years.
