Mannn it's been a nong, nong time since I drew these two together.I used his original FFVIII outfit, but I added the lion belt buckle he has in Dissidia because I really love that little addition.
Squall's accessories were a pain in the ass, and I DON'T UNDERSTAND HIS RAPE PREVENTION BELTS

Well, Linoa IS very forward with her advances.
But seriously, even as a kid I always assumed the idea was that they (and the ones on his leg) are supposed to be some kind of support to attach a holster to the gunblade, but the developers decided not to show because... I dunno, it would be too complicated to animate?
And that does make sense considering there are a few scenes where he is shown apparently drawing the gunblade from his hip, although IIRC he draws it from the left side, which wouldn't have a holster if my theory is correct. Whoops.

Haha oh god, somehow I'd totally missed the hip fur. That's so strange. But I agree on that the belts make a little more sense in Dissidia. Must be a pain to put them all on though.
