I find it hard speaking my feelings in writing, so I sometimes use poetry instead.

I'm currently practising doing faces and I must say that your job is an inspiration!
You really master the anatomy as well as the composition, and I love the frequent "touch" of water (like drops) which are always a delight!
Just a little question, what technique did you used to make here hair, especially the "exterior" ones? Was it with a brush (custom, perhaps?) or using the smudge tool, or sorcery maybe?

For her hair I used the Round Blunt Medium Stiff brush to create the bottom layer, I also use that brush when I use the smudge tool as well. Then I drew a lot of the hair one strand at a time. It's been awhile since I drew this but I think I just used the soft round brush to draw the hair on the outside. I use the round point stiff brush now for hair.
Another technique I used for the her hair that I find really helpful is layer blending options (just right click on the layer to bring up the menu). I like to use the drop shadow option (which you can change to any color) I find it gives it more depth and also gives you another bristle to draw with. For this one I used an outer glow to give an appearance of sunlight showing through it.
and of course a pinch of sorcery lol ^.~ I hope this helps
