Something I made for when she cosplays Marik with me.
Referenced using screenshots from episodes 95 (the wings, sun disc, general layout, and most of the "hieroglyphs"), 142 (more "hieroglyphs"), and I think 52 (for the God Cards).Feel free to use this as a template for cosplay, or in your own artwork, as long you credit me. I don't own the design, but I did do the work of drawing it out here. Hopefully this uploads right so that when you download it, it'll come in the layers, so you can do what you need with it. The size is huge because I drew it out on a 1:1 scale. >>; It actually fits on my back.
Things I noticed while making this: I don't think those who drew Marik's tattoo in the anime were actually referencing any hieroglyphs. >>; It's definitely gibberish.

Oh wow, really? If you wanted to use this as a ref for an actual tattoo I would be honored. I'm not sure if you plan to get the whole tattoo (in which case, wow! Actually getting Marik's tattoo? That's awesome!), or just taking parts of it, but I feel I should remind you that the hieroglyphs here are completely meaningless, so unless you're ok with that you might want to do some extra research to put something with a little more meaning in there. XD

Yeah I studied them in middle school, i used to stay after with my history teacher and he helped me learn them. sadly i didnt keep up with it and its been like eight years since then

That's awesome. XD What a lucky chance for you! But yeah, after a while that stuff fades. I've taken classes in 4 different languages and even though I was really good at them while learning them, they're pretty much all faded by now.

Pretty nice! Though the only thing that probably needs to be worked on is the Ankh (hopefully that's how it's spelled and said XD) but other than that I love it! ;D Nicely done!

Hahah, yes. I tried drawing an ankh freehand but I couldn't make it symmetrical and even for the life of me. I never can draw ankhs. So I traced one of my ankh necklaces instead. XD It's a little more stylized because of that but it's the best that I could do. But your comment inspires me to try harder with it. XD
