Maybe the elder generation has learned something, but the younger doesnt know much about those occurences.. (yes I had to google "operation crossroads" ) But there were also equivalents on the other side of the globe: Nowaya Zemlya, and Semipalatinsk. the second one wasn also really harmful Β

sounds interesting! I have to admit that I rarely read books, but I also know that I miss really much in life by not reading
I've just read the description of this book, seems that there are real workers from the area 51 talking about it
Im curious: did you already read something about aliens in it? Β or has there been only "normal" terrestrial stuff going on?Β

I'm guilty of not reading enough too (I've seriously not read a book in years!)
And yeah! It's real people that worked there, and it's also based on documents that are been declassified (and some still classified)
Ah, the question everyone wants to know about Yeah, there was a mention. One of the guys who got to work at Area 51 as an engineer says he saw what he thought was an alien in a room with scientists and that he was shown pictures of UFOs and dissected aliens -- how true this all is is the real question. This part of the book is actually based on an interview (which was available on YT in a 6-part series: www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAfVZc⦠, though it has been removed because of copyright infringement, hah- go figure) with the man in question (Bob Lazar). Other than the bit with Lazar, nothing else on aliens so far, just really, really covert, black operations, experiments, and research, and espionage! Oh they did talk about Roswell a bit as well, claiming the "flying disc" came from the Soviet Union because it had Cyrillic writing on the inside
The book really is more about "not so normal" terrestrial stuff going on, deep running connections you'd never have imagined, like NASA's predecessor NACA having links with the CIA, and the CIA originating at Area 51. And about secret projects and operations, like the U2 spy plane. It's a book I'm definitely going to read and re-read several times, maybe even make a diagram of all the connections because it's insanely complex haha! It really makes you question and reevaluate your views on the government and particularly on agencies, and what is really going on behind our backs, who really controls everything.
