Description Well, this isn't completely digital. It's an old pencil drawing of mine (2003 or 2004), digitally revised. I still like the motif

This is a very nice image. There is alot you can get from it , just thought wise. I like pieces that make me think of more than one thing at once. Good work.

It makes me think of Yggdrasil, the tree between heaven and hell in Scandinavian myths.
Also, it reminds me of Baobab trees, my favourite tree. I love it

Originally (in my first thought about the motif) not, but when I look at it these days I associate this idea with eden, too. At least a little, since I'm not that religious

Well, the eden garden can be used as a conceptual figure. You don't have to believe in the genesis nor bible, for it (the eden) has more moral, sexual, and human nature and ideals meaning than purely religious. Anyways, is a great piece. I wonder what was the original motif

Yes you are right. It's kind of philosophical!

The original motif - it was only an idea creeping into my mind. A tree which "consists" of snakes. Well, this is what I remember, I just did a scribble and then the drawing and it's about a year ago (I know this now. It was spring time, hehe. Now I keep something in mind about the Endless Story written by Michael Ende. Do you know this? There the snakes guard the water of life. So, snakes aren't always the bad guys

I didn't know the Never Ending Story was a book first... guess thats what I get for not looking into things. I was reading the thread and the names and descriptions sounded familiar, so I looked them up, and lo' and behold... the Never Ending Story. ^_^ Got to go read the book now!

I like this piece! the colors are absolutly fantastic as is the line quality! good job on this!

Interesting. I'll see if I find the book around here (is kinda hard, though, 'cause we are spansih talking people, english literature is not that common)

Well, the book is written by a german author (original title:"Die unendliche Geschichte"). Seems that there exists a spanish translation: [link]
But I don't know if it's (still) available. The original story is fantastic and much better than the movies

Oh that movie made my childhood (the second one sucks, thoug ) If the book is better than the first movie, then I definitely gotta read it.

And... Atreyu was supposed to be green???

How cool (eh, there are three of them. The third is even worse).
The book is much deeper in story and characters.
Atreju is green, yes. Isn't he in the movies (I don't remember)? It's fantasy

Thank you very much for your nice comment. I'm happy you like it.

I wonder... what'd have happened if the apple said:"Eat the snake"?
