Description
Looking up while having a party with friends the sky was brilliant. So hurried around Hanalei Bay to the pier to work on my idea. I used my car lights to illuminate the pier and took 2 horizontal shots to get the full view in. The mist from the 20ft surf caught the light and added some nice atmosphere.exif always embedded!

hmm the exif data isn't showing for this shot. What lens/aperture/shutter speed did you use? I like shots like this quite a bit, with the pin-prick stars, a lot more than I like star trails (though I like star trails too)

Wonderful shot and ingenious use of lighting! Exif isn't showing up for me but would love to know your exposure for this.

stars are 30s, 2.8, 1600. 2 horizontal. 1 extra for the bottom to make sure highlights werent blown. cant remember settings there. thanks!

AMAZING... the lighting in nightsky shots are so difficult to get right and u did it beautifully. How long was the exposure? I always find it tough to do these shots cos it's too dark and I don't want to have the stars appear like lines
