Some natural texture of the watercolor paper and paint. Then I added two layers of cardboard texture I scanned in. One for the background and the other on top of the rest.

Omg I have to say The Spera series if friggen amazing.Like you don't evne realize how much it just..INSPIRES ME.With all the color, and the story,and the different art styles...Plus the CHARACTERS!I don't own the books..YET,but I do plan on getting them in the near future once I have the money to get them.They'd be perfect in my comic book collection no doubt But yes,I gotta say, Spera?I love it!And I totally can't wait what amazingness there is to see in Spera Volume 3!

its really great, gives the eye something to hold onto! i also like how you kind of confine the texture to the bg and let the focal point become less textured/smoother?? so good!
