Helen is Greek. She was a track and field athlete competing professionally. Her events were 400 m dash, 300 m hurdles, long jump, and javelin and she runs marathons and tough mudders for fun. She followed her then boyfriend into pro wrestling and fell in love with it. She's since dumped the boyfriend, and kept the pro wrestling, adopting a Hera-like gimmick. Aloof and superior all beneath her, the boos and the heat came fast and easy. She got into Jiu-Jitsu through other wrestlers on the roster and has been doing that for a couple of years.

Although still somewhat newer to pro wrestling and grappling, she is an elite athlete and don't ever let anyone tell you strength and fitness don't matter.

Alanna is French. She was a star professional dancer from a wealthy family. She caught the pro wrestling bug by accident from seeing it on TV and was hooked, deciding that if she was going to physically perform for an audience, this is how she was going to do so. Against her family's wishes she became a pro wrestler, and the snobby French aristocrat gimmick has generated possibly even more rage and anger than Helen’s.

Fellow foreigner in a US wrestling promotion, Alanna and Helen became fast friends. They were put together as tag team partners, both embracing their respective heel gimmicks much to the fury of the audience. Kayfabe, they wrestled as a tag team until they had a falling out and bitter rivalry. After no small amount of debate and discussion it ultimately came down to a coin flip. Alanna gets her choice and remains the heel, Helen embraces the anti-hero, and is a newly found face.

And if you think professional dancers are lacking in fitness or strength, you don’t know dancing. Add to that the flexibility of formal ballet training, and Alanna is no slouch in the ring herself.

This all said, they are both much more about the grappling arts. Say what you will about vanity, the struggle is real, and neither of them like the idea of being punched in the face.

In real life they are still tight, but once they took up BJJ together their respective competitiveness generated a friendly rivalry.

But today, for the pleasure or frustration of an audience, this rivalry will continue in the ring.

After checking notes, he reckons they are a "2" on the Afwfan grapplers scale.

I really liked the look of his characters and I really liked the backstory he had for them, so with permission I'm sharing these here (for the moment), with more to come shortly, and I hope more to see of them both in the future, hopefully with some crossovers on the afwfan roster also.
