Wow, I can choose a gallery folder where to put this picture already in submitting phase! How cool is that!
(Dunno how long this feature has been here because I haven't submitted anything for a while... but it makes me happy anyway.)
Colored pencils on brown paster paper. Yes, I am abusing pastel paper and evil textures are showing through colors because my colors are too hard for this kind of paper. Bleh.

I wanted to draw elegant looking dragon so happy to hear that face looks dignified! Background was also fun to do; for some reason I find clouds very enjoyable to draw. ^^

I think the texture makes it look more interesting.But it must be a pain to add all the tiny and subtle shading...
I think you could easily combine colored pencils with pastels or acrylics if you work with that kind of paper. I'm sure it would make an interesting result.
I like the brown, creme-like colors and the horse-ish look :3 great design as usual

Yep, texture is interesting but it made adding details quite difficult...
I am not a big fan of pastel colors because can't really do details with them. But combining them with other colored pencils could work!

Juu, värilliset paperit on pop! Pitäis vaan koittaa löytää vähän sileämpiä papruja jostain niin puuvärit pääsis kunnolla oikeuksiinsa. Tälle oli vähän vaikeeta piirtää yksityiskohtia kun on niin karkeeta.

This dragon is beautiful - it has a very equine feel to it, to me. I love how elongated everything is - the horns, the spikes, the tail. Very lovely.

I wanted to draw an elegant creature and for me equines are the most elegant animals so I think that shows through the design.
And my dragons then to look quite equine-ish often.

Pilvien kanssa sai kyllä vähän tapella, ne näytti aluks skannattuina ihan kamalilta. Mutta kynä vaan uudestaan käteen ja onneks sain vähän pehmennettyä niitä. Kiva, että lopputulos miellyttää! ^^

todellakin miellyttää, se on just se pehmeys josta tykkään. ja se et ne pilvet ei oo sellasia isoja pumpulipalloja, vaan tollasia 'realistisempia'.
