With every new piece we do, we need to push ourselves deeper into the unknown, take risks that we never thought we could. We do this so we don’t become a slave to a particular way or style. Sure we have our technique that is unique to us individually, that is our signature but, we must push hard to find the depth of what we are trying to say with the piece, even at the risk of destroying it.
May I please say, don’t get caught up in the “pretty picture” (per se), you have all you need to go way beyond where you are...
I really enjoy your work and find inspiration in it all, hope this makes sense.

I like this piece of work as well as other works of yours. What captured my attention was the intensity of the emotions that was portrayed in the work.
The technique and colors used are very attractive. I kept staring at the pic for hours but my only reaction was being mesmerized by the work.
But as i look at the pic i find some sadness in those eyes. I found only that hard to correlate with the topic. This pic made me actually wonder if whether summer rain is a happy stuff or not e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w… " width="15" height="15" alt="

I have to disagree with some of the viewers when they state this is one of your best but when you have set such high standards I feel it necessary for my untrained eye to let you know my thoughts. Firstly the idea is great, the characters chosen are well balanced in the overall composition. The colours used as usual are very spectacular, the wash the blend excellent and the use of varied mediums is again what people can expect from your fine work. So to look beyond the greatness to find something, i feel the painting lacks warmth of colour to be referenced summer, i also find myself looking to the left character more than the right or indeed the couple, this i cannot explain as they are very well presented ? Overall i like the piece, its not your worst but certainly not your best, i have no place to speak other than as a viewer, i am in ore of your skill.
