Being born a noble of the Kiemo'na was a bloody life. In-fighting and constant power shifts meant Cerys saw a great deal of death and very little justice growing up. Though she had no interest in politics, she did marry to help her mother when she was 19. Four years later her husband and mother picked the wrong side of a conflict and were tried and executed as traitors. The next three years she spend as a political prisoner. She was not treated badly by any means, and had a great deal of free time to discover her love of gardening. It was the first thing she'd ever loved. She seduced her way into a paying grounds keeping job to save up funds for a rainy day.

Rainy days came. When new turmoils made it fatal to stay in Kiemo'na she searched through staffing agencies for work off-planet. She was happy to take the gardener position.
