Description
Umed is Ravi's older brother from my Kin and Kingdoms story.
It is a rather static and boring painting by itself, I have to admit. Started out with one of those celebrity face-mash sites as reference to get realistic proportions for his face (for him I used Johnny Depp, Jensen Ackles, Andy Lau and Adrien Brody) and then added some body and made it a banner-like portrait. I actually am working on similar versions of all the other characters and plan to make an updated character line-up.

You upset me u_u everything about this is so very pretty. It's really something that you can keep the colors muted without being dull, especially on his face, he doesn't look flat at all. My favorite part of the piece would have to be his hands. They look especially amazing with the dimension of shadows you have there D; Fantastic work!

Ya I'm forever trying to escape from my earlier pastel-rainbow style of painting. It's hard. I love pastels. :/ Actually when I was painting this, I kept thinking "Oh, it's too dark, maybe I should make it a little brighter." HAHA yaright. Some day I'll actually make a really dark and stark colored painting, some day.
Thank you! I'm really proud of those too! I went to town with his face and hands. It kinda pooped me out a little with the clothes. I get so bored when I paint clothing.
