Very cool process piece. Tiny critique: based on the lighting, that geometry in the foreground would probably have less light reflecting off of it. You've got a solid process, though. Keep up the good work.

Your city scenes are amazing.
Have you ever considered making a tutorial that focuses on making the actual buildings only? It would be awesome.

This is great, i would like to ask though what brushes do u color block with, or more specifically what are the settings in the brush tray for that brush? I'm trying to paint a city and i dont really know what brushes to use.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

aiRaGe In reply to crazycommi89 [2007-06-04 14:13:36 +0000 UTC]

I use some chalk brushes, but mostly the hard round ones.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

crazycommi89 In reply to aiRaGe [2007-06-04 20:28:27 +0000 UTC]

do you use pressure sensitivity? To be more precise for the opacity and flow? thanx

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

aiRaGe In reply to crazycommi89 [2007-06-05 10:42:23 +0000 UTC]

Yeap, i always have the oppacity on pen pressure. I don't use the jitter on flow often, only if i paint soft things like clouds etc.

im loving your tuts.
really giving an insight into airbrushing loving it

a question though how can your pc take working at such huge sizes? aka what specs do you have and do you get a lot of freezing when you do your work...
thanks

aiRaGe In reply to ynot69 [2006-12-29 13:04:50 +0000 UTC]

Thank you for taking the time to comment.
I used to work with an AMD64 3200+ and 1GB of ddr ram (400), nowadays it's 3 GB of ram and a lot of harddisk space for backup,
Photoshop scratchdisk etc. I experience as good as no freezing at all, Photoshop/my PC crashed when working like 2 times during the 3 years i work with Photoshop. I sometimes work up to 8k or 10k pixels in width (for print), but that's where my pc gets in trouble when using too many layers etc.

Oh, so beautiful! Landscapes tend to be a problem for me--I like to focus on the foreground figure--so this is really helpful--it gives me some idea of how to do perspective and get such a wonderful, sweeping picture. The idea with the brush is great! Oh, and I would never have guessed English was not your first language!

(Ansonsten wirklich gutes Tut ^^)

Wow this is one hell of a tutorial. I have wondered how the amazing artists, like yourself, do some of this work, ive always wanted to know how, however this seems beyond my scope i havent got a graphics tablet either lol. I have a question though, your imaegs look small in the tutorial yet your acturla images are huge and ive tried to do this tut and the canvas is huge, too big for me though any tips? I find it hard trying to get all the perspective lines then doing it all close up, i find it really hard too hard infact, os have you got any easy to do tips about doing it all close up...

I liked the 'one more frame from being complete' version, rather than the finished version. A very well written walk thorugh, and I would definantly try out some of these techniques
