You know how some people pin butterflies onto walls with needles or pins? The artis is referencing to that. Of course they drew this. Why else would they post it in their gallery?

Butterflies are often displayed in cases by being stuck to a board by a needle through the abdomen. She felt awful for them, and that's a gaping needle through her body.
