Description Height

Average height:3 -5 m (9'8 -16ft)
Dwarf: 160cm - 200cm

By average haroth are towering beings, but over the time dwarfs have become more common. These smaller haroth are as healthy as their bigger counterparts.

Lifespan
Unknown

It's hard to tell haroth's age. Some color fading has been recorded, but when one feels that their time  has come they'll seek privacy by traveling to their final resting place where  they'll get blessed.  This haroth will then retire to it's chamber to meditate on it's life. Grave keeper is often the last one to see them alive. Some Haroth may wait and meditate for days.

Fig.1
Haroth has evolved a visor like face plate over most of their face. it protects the eyes from wind during flight and takes away the need to blink. This visor is usually tinted and slightly see through, visibility from under it would be similar to sunglasses would have and color vision is poor. Haroth does not blink, since they don't have any eye lids. the sockets are like owl's they can't move their eyes so those who can see through their masks will turn their heads to see around them. Magic users can enchant their visors to better their sight through them.

Fig.2
Haroth are able to dislocate their jaws, but the bones in it are fragile so even with them having teeth they're rarely used for biting or chewing. Haroth use their barbed tongues and teeth to groom themselves. most things they eat are swallowed whole.

Fig.3
Typical Haroth build.

Fig.4
Example of  the difference between amputated toe and foot with no surgery done. Amputation of toes in an old tradition come from a powerful clan that has now been long gone. The tradition of cutting  toes is a sign of strength in remembrance of the old clan or as a cosmetic things. Cutting of the toes usually leave very clear scars to their feet. It's said that the most fearless of haroth won't use anything to numb the pain while the toes are being cut.

Fig.5
Flexible toe being used as a heel.

It’s very original, it’s not a mixture of just a plant and a dog. Something that looks like it has interesting biology and lore and societies, it’s really great!
