(Hey there! I see you're looking at my old art. I've improved since I drew this, so head on over to my gallery to check out my newer art!)I have mixed feelings about the Suppression Squad... on one hand, I'm fascinated by their sheer evilness and correlations to the Freedom Fighters, and on the other I'm absolutely terrified of them- especially Miles. I swear, that kid's got to be one of the scariest villains ever created, not just because he's eleven, but that he actually knows what he's doing. He's got his goals. He's got his plans. And he understands that to scratch your way to the top, sometimes you have to suck up to the guy (or girl) in charge. And while we haven't actually seen this take in place in canon (Thanks, Penders), I can imagine that when Miles takes charge, he takes charge. And leaves no loose ends lying around.
That's why Miles is not only an amazing character, but a villain who knows what he wants and how he's going to go about getting it. That's a trait I can respect. I salute you, Miles. Long be your reign.
I like how the characters turned out, but I can't do backgrounds, not even on Clip Studio. If anyone wants to give this a good background, be my guest. (Just please credit me and tell if you did)

I have to ask about the metal scraps on the floor. Unfortunately they have good build up but never had chance to hit yet other than abandoning Scourge, Sonic and other characters.
I like the work on patch's sword.

The "metal scraps" were Scourge's crown. I think the crown was laying there, broken, in front of Miles, to symbolize Scourge being overthrown.

I am on the same boat on my feelings towards this group of villains (Respect and fear them). They were getting developed as individuals (instead of just being angsty recolors with leather jackets) when Ian Flynn took over in the writing department, but then Penders had to go and screw that up. Like just as we hit a cliffhanger of interesting proportions with both the Suppression Squad and with Scourge, Archie gets a lawsuit from Dick Penders himself. You know he failed when he can't even write his own characters as interesting (Well actually he cannot write for anything in general).
Sorry for going on a tangent there. Really nice artwork here. I would attempt to add a background myself, but I am out of ideas for backgrounds and I would have to redraw the entire picture so there would be a transparent background to add a background in.

Your "tangent" is a really good point though, penders is an idiot and I LOVE the development here! These characters are amazing and I love how they all have more to them the the leather. (Although leather is really hot on scourge) my favorite part about the comics was the suppression squad! They were in the first issue I ever read. 189, and I wish sooo badly we could see more of them! All of them! They each have interesting traits to them ya know?

It's all good here on the commenting. Glad someone came out and agreed with me here. (Also I am sorry about your friends not exactly liking them. Maybe you can show them the pre- Ian Flynn versions of these guys to show they were better in Flynn's care)
