It's a wonder how just one image could enliven different other ideas set in similar scenario. I've been watching his speedpainting videos on Youtube for the past few months and I really like his technique in painting landscape. It's quick, simple and detailed at the same time. Frankly, I don't know many Old Masters and their paintings, so I thought another way to continue teach myself is to watch speedpainting videos done by some of the existing professional; following thier video to pick up some of methods.
Without him, this image would never be made possible. So, a big thanks to him for making such beautiful landscape.

It's a lovely mood piece, a lovely deserted part of the forest with that old bridge in a swampy area (hence the flat bridge). Even with your comments I'm still trying to figure out what she's doing: petting the fish you mention? Or is she really tapping just to see how the tiniest touch can make such a big change on the still waters? Regardless, she's very pretty and the whole scene is wondrous, magical.
The two prominent carved stumps remind me of the guardian things from Ayeka's ship in Tenchi. (Yes, I see lots of them littering the area. Perhaps this was old logging territory for some special kind of tree and those marks indicated which ones to fell; else I'm just reading way too much into it.)
