Description Dissidia was too awesome for me to not draw her

I've loved Terra ever since I bought FFVI (GBA version, shame on me!) Even though she's sorrowful/emo, she's still quite a strong lead. That's something I wanted to show in this drawing, but I couldn't get her to look fierce without making it seem OOC, so in the end I decided to give her that sad look she always sports. While I regret not showing her strong, now she has a little moe side, which is nice in its own way.

Instant win points for drawing Terra.

Now on to the review...

Good piece in general. The anatomy is mostly looking good and the coloring gives for a nice feel. The background feels a bit thrown on though (but at least its not the focus of the piece). Keep doing backgrounds though (they're important).

Anatomy specifics:
+One leg looks a bit longer than the other, despite being bent the length difference is a bit past mark.
+There's something a little funny about the belly here, I'm not sure what it is, but its hard to tell where it is. There's a line bisecting the middle there but the positioning doesn't feel right. The positioning of the scarf prevents me from commenting more.

Coloring:
I like the coloring a lot, it has a soft and dynamic feel and works well with the piece. I don't currently have any suggestions for improvement on this front.

Over all good piece. Nice work and I hope to see more from you in the future.

Cheers,

~xyxtlin

Yeah, rushed the background more than I should've

Don't see the leg issue myself, but I'll look at it again. I agree with the belly thing, had problems with this pose for a while, so I'm not surprised it's not perfect

Thanks for taking the time to comment, and it's good to hear an artist like you likes it

Yes, Terra is really an awesome character... and she looks ten times better at this size. ^_^
Also, FFVI is probably my favourite FF game... I really hope to see a 3D remake, sooner or later.

It would kick so many asses... don't you agree?

Yeah! Screw PS3 remake for FFVII, I want VI in full HD glory. just how awesome would that be? Of course, assuming they don't sissify everyone and turn Locke into a bishie main character.

And I fear the latter would be what'd happen

Yeah, modern Squaresoft is really shitty.

Another dream of mine would be a Xenogears remake... all in cel-shading, of course!

Meh, Squeenix is improving. Lightning is the first masculine main character since FFIV

Well, my suggestion is to try playing at least FF7 and FF9.
You might also enjoy FF8.

Anyway, all the three FF for the PS1 are very beautiful (the 7 being the best one followed by 9, IMO).

If you don't have a PSX, you can play them emulated on a PSP or on your PC with an emulator.

In that case, I suggest you buy the PSN version of FF7.
