My entry for `MonicaWeasley 's Yummy Card Contest! [link]The criteria was to create an image in the style of a playing card, and to feature one of the "Yummy" themes; I chose chocolate. :3
This pic was originally just for Copic practice, but I realized it would work as an entry for the Yummy Card Contest... Which I've been on and off about entering for quite a while.
I'm glad I finally came up with something I like!I decided to incorporate some other aspects of "Yummy" in there...*cough* Interpret how you will.
The strawberries are an inside joke of the "Marchen: The Journey" RP... Long story...
...Strawberries are kinky. So yes, chocolate and strawberries! I hope it's acceptable.
My first full color pic in entirely Copic markers... I really like how it turned out! (The Q's and the border were added digitally, though.)
Forgive the dotted line you can see when you full view. @_@ It tortures me but I'm too lazy to fix it.

Like I've said in other comments, the lack of darks is due to my lack of Copic Markers...I'll be sure to get some more!

The hands have already been mentioned, so~
I think you should do a bit more contrast between the colours; especially those between the actual character and the background. She's blending in a bit too well with the bg. A bit more intense shading and lighting would really help this stand out.
I really love that dress, btw. The folds and creases are great, and the pattern is wonderful as well.

Color contrast has also been mentioned, and the real reason for this is my lack of Copic markers. Thanks for pointing it out though, it teaches me that it really does matter.

Ah, I know what you mean for the hands. Although the fatness problem wouldn't be solved by looking at myself in the mirror--I've discovered that using myself for a model is not such a good thing because I am fat, and the characters I draw are not. At first I didn't think it made much of a difference--I know what skinny people look like, right?--until I looked at other people's artwork, and looked at real skinny people, and realized there were real features that I was missing. I'm going to have to nab my skinny friend and make her model for me more.

The colors are really nice. I love her hair! *__* You might try adding some colors in the shadows that are complimentary to your light source. For example, if your light source is warm, try some cool colors in the shadows. Also, her right hand (holding the strawberry) looks like it's turned to far. I think her wrist is broken! D:

The lack of darks/contrast is mainly due to my lack of Copic Markers. Those are good suggestions, I'm going to have to get some more so I can try out your ideas.
Mmm, yes, that hand. I thought there was something wrong with it. I should have had someone model as reference--I wanted her hand to be positioned in a way that wouldn't cover up the strawberry too much. I'll remember to make a friend model for me next time.

Do you have colored pencils? I've seen a lot of people who mix markers and colored pencils, with really nice results.
