Merry Christmas Ari-chuu!!

Sorry it's so late... Deadlines and crap caught up with me.

So, I got inspired to do this after hearing about all the crap Ari was going through in the Airforce. I felt that what she needed was encouragement, strength, serenity, calm, courage, and independence.

To symbolize strength; she lifts up the burden of the boulder with ease. To symbolize calm and serenity; the atmosphere of the sky and the sea. To symbolize courage, encouragement, hope, and determination; the sun rises for a new day, and her expression is of one who will keep striving on. To symbolize independence and freedom; angel wings adorn her back and allow her to soar to the highest heights of her dreams.

Please don't give up, Ari. I believe you can do this.

Technical things:
I was trying to go for a bright highlight, what I call my 'watercolor' method when done digitally. So I started with white and all color was shaded in. I find this gives a piece a rather serene and wondrous feel. This was the first time I'd done it with Copics though so I had trouble blending it in places... As for the figure, when I first drew it out her arms were down and it looked great, but...not really a logical pose for holding up a boulder. So a moved them around MANY times until I came up with this, but I still think it looks a bit odd. @___@ Meep. I also needed to get crit from some people partway through cause I wasn't getting enough contrast and I wasn't sure what to add. (THANK YOU MUCH TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED!!!)

Derp...I'm open to more crit, so if anyone has anything to contribute please do.
