Whilst visiting her old home of Linhythe again, an acquaintance refers Ara to a small healing clinic who is looking for an affordable informant. There, she finds a healer who is currently looking after a small group of orphaned children - cases he was unable to turn onto the streets after healing.

He tells Ara that he'd like to track down relatives of these children, if possible, since he can't raise them all himself and is reluctant to let them go to an orphanage in this poor area. He has already traced those within Linhythe itself, but is unable to venture much further due to his responsibilities. If Ara could search for leads while on her travels, he would be grateful.

He gives her a small scroll with as many details as he could gather from the children: possible names, descriptions of places, memories of songs and foods. In a quiet voice, he says he suspects the family of one of the dark elf children was from southernmost Reluir - the part that was obliterated by the colossus. He fears the worst, but the child remembers having half-elf cousins too, so there is hope some of them lived in Iadlain.

The healer assures Ara he will look after the children for as long as he can - with careful budgeting, he should be able to provide for them for a few more months yet - and will reimburse her to the best of his ability.

keeps clutching my heart at this quest even after finishing the comic...ive wanted to explain why shes so (weirdly, obsessively) protective of children for a while, and points to this vaguely its all because of. . ...that LASDNF, SO THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME A MEANS MODCHANS realizes belatedly that i might have downplayed the importance of the slip of paper tho it is most definitely there, in her pocket...

was my first time playing with pseudo grayscale in a long while too, and ive gotten better but still squints
