Very serene I suppose, nice calm and quiet..
Not too sure but it seems to me that the upper part of the tree is either smugged or blurred - any how does look very nice all thogether. The farm house does seem to fall out a bit, as mentioned above, maybe if it had more color in it, everything would've looked much better..
Any how a very nice picture, great job,

akkict-photo In reply to tkach [2006-02-22 15:26:06 +0000 UTC]

The tree could be blurred a bit cause I was driving and /or my wide angle tends to do that for some reason. Same with my teleconverter (which I don't use anymore because of that reason)

Hummmmmmmm more color in the farm house. I'll try that and see what happens. I thought it may be too saturated. I'll take a look and work on it. Thanks so much for the input. I take all I can get.

akuba [2006-02-21 14:01:03 +0000 UTC]

I'm personally a very big fan of photos depicting rural scenes. I definitely approve of the composition. the photo has a lot of depth. i'm not sure if this was taken with a automatic poinot and shoot or an SLR. Either way the tones in the photo are good. If it was taken with an SLR, i'm not sure, but maybe a greater depth of field would bring the foreground tree into sharper focus.

I'm not sure if this photo was taken recently or in the fall, but it reminds me of spring. Here in michigan we have three feet of snow

It was a point and shoot Canon G6 with a wide angle lens. was just taken on Feb 17th. a week after we got 12-14 " of snow. warmed up alot , now it's bitter cold. Thanks for the great comment.

thats an awesome shot. the colors are stunning. its a very beautiful place. i would put an unsharp mask on it though because its a lil bit blured.

Thanks.

What in the world is an unsharp mask? DARN more to learn.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

crazycrash In reply to akkict-photo [2006-02-21 21:18:40 +0000 UTC]

an unsharp mask is the most important thing a digital photographer should know about. digital cameras tend to blur pictures a little. they are not as sharp as analog cams. so usually you need to sharp the pics to get a clearer picture and the give it a lil more details. software like adobe photoshop or paintshop pro have the filters. they are called unsharp mask. u need to have some experience with that filter, though... its not thats easy. sometimes you can also ruin a pic. when resizing pictures its usefull to put again an unsharp mask on it.
