I know to show it more respect as this gun can still be lethal, but I look at it, and it reminds me of a BB gun. The little bullets too, laughable, but extremely accurate; at least for me when using a magnum. How far can you accurately hit where you're aiming with this Ruger? And are those hollow points? If so, making a little accurate gun do damage like a .303...

I haven't gotten it to the range to zero quite yet, so I'm unsure of the accuracy. The Rugers are known for holding a tight group though, so we'll see what happens. I'm just building it for grouse hunting at 25 yards or less really.
Most of my .22 ammo is hollowpoints, but they won't do anything approaching the damage a .303 would. Different bullets for different things. .22 is great for small game and target shooting, vs 303 would do nicely on deer sized critters up to caribou. Shoot a grouse with a .303 and I doubt there will be much left.

Heh... that would be more mess than what would be warranted for hunting or sports purpose. As for the hollow points, would they protect you from a bear if you happened to run into one? I know bears can shrug off shotgun rounds (I never heard what kind of shell), but with the weapons I see in your profile, would they keep you safe?
I personally have shot 22mm. and 303, but I noticed, some 22mm rounds seem to give a stronger kick than other weapons. Namely Magnums and Glocks, and I can guess that is due to barrel length or the build of the gun. Is that a correct assumption, or is it something else? Only shot 1 .303 weapon, so can't really say I'm experienced with that caliber.

A .22 is about the smallest pistol caliber out there. It would certainly be better than a pointy stick, but I wouldn't trust my life to one.
As for stopping bears, usually it is a 3" magnum slug (Breneke Black Magic is what AK Fish and Game carries)
With that compensator there is practically no recoil though. It shot amazing today.

It depends what state you are in, but firearms aren't too expensive. It entirely depends on what you are getting though. AR-15 rifles are around $600 for a decent one these days.
I grew up and still live in Alaska, so fishing/hunting is something that everyone does up here. In the summer, weekly trips to the range are pretty common as well. I only try to shoot $10-15 worth of ammo in a trip though. I'm poor lol. It is why I mostly stick with .22 since it is incredibly cheap when you can find it. $30 is 500 rounds usually.
