Well, one of the reasons is that Ichihime is kind of like the prince on the princess, or the "Princess and Knight in Shining Armor". I'm more of a fan for the more complicated pairings, the ones you don't think of at first.
I think I just don't like the pairing because it's one of the first pairings you think of when your pairing people with the Bleach main characters. As I said before, the pairings you don't think of at first are the ones i like. Or, at least for these kinds of anime.

That's true, but for me I thought the obvious coupling would be Ichigo and Rukia (I'm not a fan, but they still kick ass).
I won't lie, I'm a IchiHime fan, but if I had to choose UquiHime all the way. Not even a competition.

Wandering-Heartbeat, for example, goes nuts and does stupid fantard shit for Ichihime. Like, did you see the most recent picture that Kubo made with all of the Bleach characters in it? Where Orihime is eating pie and Ulquiorra's looking at her with a fork like "Damn, woman"?
Wandering-Heartbeat said that Orihime is eating a strawberry pie, making it secret innuendo that Orihime is 'eating' Ichigo, and that Ulquiorra isn't actually looking at Orihime, he's looking at Grimmjow out of the corner of his eye.

The most obvious thing was that it was cherry pie, not strawberry. It's very unlikely that Kubo was making her eat strawberry pie.
And the Ulquiorra thing is just ridiculous all together.
Look miss WH, that picture wasn't even romantically Ulquihime. Just accept that Ulquiorra wanted Orihime's pie, dumbass. It not like Ulquiorra suddenly wanted to jump her. All he wanted was her pie. Jesus.
