Fire
The element of power. It gives warmth, lights our way, and keeps enemies at bay.
Ice
The element of detachment. The cruel grasp of winter has been the bane of life for as long as we can remember, forcing us to build and create warmth, or be left to freeze and perish. In the absence of heat, all life slows, sometimes stopping in place. But to overcome and weaponize this element, is to master a power unrivaled.
Water
The element of change. It cleans and purifies. It heals and gives life anew. It holds the secrets of our oceans and crushes those who fail to heed its might.
Lightning
The element of inspiration. Throughout history, this skyborn power has fascinated Mankind, since it first lit the sky above us, sparking our imagination and desire to understand it. For over a millennia, Mankind theorized and tested, learned to collect lightning and harness its inept power and potential, and identifying it as a magical element, opening the door for mastery and application.
Air
The element of freedom, it surrounds and fills us, it is our atmosphere. Everything we perceive as normal. It lets us breath, carries heat and sound across our world, and stands as a protective barrier against the cruel vacuum of space.
Earth
The element of substance, giving us a place to stand and build our homes, fertile enough to grow our own food. But dormant in this trusted provider is the strength that has existed long before us, and will exist long after weβre gone.
Wood
The element of nurturing. Ever growing, ever evolving, it gives and sustains life. Creating oxygen and food, without this element, many would be lost.
Mind
The element of introspection and thought. People often contemplate what they know and what they donβt understand. All things related to knowledge, identity, and understanding are commanded under Mind. Without Mind, one would essentially be comatose- a braindead vegetable.
Light
The element of Hope. For centuries, light has guided humanity, letting us see the world around us or giving us courage in times of despair. It is the bastion of knowledge and confidence when things seem to be tumbling to Hell. And it has carried a holy symbolism that has depicts it as purely a force of good. This isnβt necessarily true, however.
Darkness
The element of peace. Darkness brings rest and with it solace. It comforts in times of pain and lets you close your eyes and sleep. While often depicted as evil or be related to the worst of scum, darkness is not at all evil.
I love element symbolism.
That aside, these are really cool.
