Sculpture class assignment was to build a tower out of wood that was at least 4 feet tall, and was free standing. I decided to make a giant pencil.It's not a solid piece of wood, it's hollow. I glued 6 long panels together and spray painted them yellow. Then I sprayed it with gloss.
For the tip of the pencil, I layered plywood into a block shape and carved it into a cone. The tip is just drawn on with pencil.
The end of the pencil is two tomato cans. The eraser is half of one of the cans, I covered it with a two part epoxy, sanded it smooth, and spray painted it pink. Although it's hard to see, I nailed dents around the cans where you would usually see dents on a pencil.
The words were scraped with an old nail and inked with a sharpie marker.

We always passed by this local school that was 5 stories tall.
We called it the Pencil School. Why?
There was a giant wooden pencil that was 5 stories tall, and it was leaning against the building.
There was another that was even larger, but it fell down during a typhoon.
And there was one about your pencil's size, except it was a stub of a pencil.

We have one of these at my school. If the teacher gets it in his/her classroom, they gotta sneak it into another teachers room without being caught (its hard) to get rid of it.

When I was in fourth grade, I would make little videos about a giant pencil I bought killing my friends. I called it "Attack of the Giant Mutant Killer Pencil", or just "Attack of the Giant Pencil". This brings back so many funny memories!

you take a photo with you and the pencil and tell : see how small i am
i go at school with this pencil
someone at the school asks me if i can pass him a pencil
i tell : yes, here
*takes the giant pencil*
other person : what's that?!?
.......can i draw with it?
i say : yes
he says : okay i'll take it -_-"
then the teacher (who was looking at the blackboard) turns and tell : what are you doing with a so big pencil Oo
for that i should find a way to hide the big pencil......
oh, and after i gave him the pencil, he made a BIG hole in his sheet
so he missed his exam all because of me
