Meet Star Ruby! She is the symbol of my descent into SU trash status, created after binging the whole series in 2 days. My birthstone is the ruby, a gem I never really appreciated until I did some research into its properties. It's in fact quite interesting! Ruby (corundum) is the second hardest gem after diamond, and large specimens can even be more valuable than diamonds of similar size. They are in the same family as sapphire, really only separated by colour, and can range in hue from dark brown to a flashy pink!

Star Ruby is an upbeat and energetic gem, always excited to head out on a mission or to simply hang out with her friends. Her spike bat is inflatable and can more than double in size when the situation calls for it, though the spikes are certainly sharper than a balloon. She takes pride in her long, shimmering curly hair, though it does take a fair amount of time to tame it each morning before she feels ready to head out and seize the day. She is currently on the move searching for a new planet to call home, and always on the lookout for potential new gem friends she meets along the way.
