nice, but you use too much white.
This makes your faces look dead.
Let the midtone of the paper come out more and use your whites only for the highlights, and your portraits will look much more alive.

it was a school exercice and I used to use less white than here. But my professor told us to put more and more white because we were a little shy with it. We just must have 2 or 3 places with midtone.
Well I think that I can try again later and try with more black than white ^^

Well, I see people as sources of warmth hence I like using the midtone of the warmly toned paper (eg brown craft paper) and just use white for the highlights and black or dark brown for the shadows.
It's an interesting effect, try it
