Description My cat Junior found a toad in the garden and I managed to catch it. Because our garden isn't really a good place for toads I took him to the park and released him over there.

Not to sound rude, but I notice you use a lot of DOF in these series. I love this when it helps to isolate an object from its background, but I think here it's a little too extreme. I don't mean that the whole toad should've been in focus, but at least his whole head.

Anyway, please don't take it personally! It's just my opinion. For all I know this was very much your intention.

Well, with this photo I think you're absolutely right! I did not intend to have such a small DOF here, but because the toad was jumping away very quickly I didn't have the time to change the camera's settings.
Still, I like this DOF

But I understand your opinion and really appreciate your comment! I always like to hear other people's opinions

Thanks for not taking it the wrong way!
Yeah, I know what you mean; when it comes to shooting animals, the settings are never exactly how you wanted them to be! There's just not enough time.

Wauw wat kijkt hij boos
Maar zoals Bianca hierboven al zei, heel goede scherptediepte, en ook de achtergrond enzo, heel mooi!

Great macro - toads are such pleasantly ugly creatures! I think you may have stepped down the F-stop a little too much on this one (considering your focal length)! Unless you only wanted the front of the toad in focus.

Thanks for your comment, I agree with you about the DOF but there's nothing to be done about it anymore... maybe next time ^^
