Description Last illustration of the year.
Actually I started this one several months ago, but I dropped it after feeling disconnected from it, somehow.
A few weeks ago I opened the image again and I kinda liked it, so I decided to complete it.
But then I disliked it again.
I was about to drop it for good but I noticed I couldn't truly move on to anything else leaving this behind.
So here it is. It's quite strange for me to work on something so "soft" and gentle, but I'm quite happy with it, even though the image feels so alien and odd to me.
It's good to end the year with this one anyway. I can't start 2014 with an incomplete journey.

This is really amazing! There is so much texturing and detail, especially on the clouds and leaves, it really draws the eye in! An interesting effect too is the slanting of both sides, kinda pointing to that tunnelish shape in the center...what could lie there, I wonder...

It's funny how artists say, they don't like a certin piece, but it's not really noticeable in thefinal result.
Personally, I like it very much - it has a strong fairy-tale-like vibe to it ^^

ahaha true. Or they like something most people don't care about, and viceversa.
But I quite like this one in the end, but it was troublesome. Maybe because it reminds me a bit of my children-book days.
