The point of Divergence is the voyage of Thorvald Erickson where he settled on the site of Lief Erickson's colony naming it Leifskáli, meaning Leif's Hall. With the arrival of his brother Thorsteinn in 1007, he left Leifskáli to found his own settlement to the south. he eventually settles upon a location which is eventually called Thorvaldgarðr meaning Thorvald's Fortress or City. soon enough Thorvald's son named Halfdan returns to Leifskáli where he usurps the title king of Vinland from Thorsteinn and forces Thorsteinn to found his own settlement, which he names Thorsteinnbœr. Thorsteinn's son also named Thorvald would found the city of Thorvaldbœr.
the second big event for Vinland's history took place during the reign of Thorvald Thorsteinnson when Feydis and Thorgils Eiríksdóttir emigrate to Vinland founding the cities of Feydisgaðr and Thorgilsskáli respectively. With their Emigration with many other Icelanders a new generation of Vinlandish begins to thrive, but with this new generation many of the older settlers children begin to go out in search of new land and the first to do so is Halfin "The brown bladed" who settles the western part of PEI naming it the Island Veiðrmark or the fishing forest. Eastern Veiðrmark would be settled by the third generation of Icelandic immigrants, who upon coming to Vinland find very little open land so they set out and settle the kingdom of Hálsland. The capital of Hálsland is Thuridvöllr founded by Thurid Halfdanson he would go on to also settle the trading port Guthrumborg.
The final region of Ericksland is Muinland meaning land of the bears which was the term used in the trading language Muindish to describe Norse-Mi'kmaq hybrid culture appearing around Muinland. The Region is divided into 3 Kingdoms the farthest south is Jihptuland or Eagle land this area is primarily ethnically Norse but with much more Mi'kmaq influence then farther south. it's capital is in Agamok it's only major city. in the center is Suðumuinland or Southern Muinland. Suðumuinland is the most populous of the three kingdoms with major cities like Esa'tylgarðr or ya'qawibœr. The least populated kingdom of the three is Norðumuinland with its capital in geymugarðr.
