Hi, thank you for your critique, I really appreciate it. Regarding the editing, the colour of the water is a result of contrast of still quite strong afternoon light, so no additional darkening was needed.

I really do find this image striking. For me, the first thing I noticed was the expression on the tiger's face, which from above, appears to be almost blissful. It puts a happy tone to the start of the image. From there, I notice the ripples, and the fact that everything but the head and the ruff is submerged, which makes for a beautiful contrast. For me, I'm not sure that the inked out black appearance behind the cat is everything to be desired, but with the lighting it works well. You can see all of the tiger, and that's the main thing.
The lighting is well done- it captures the facial structure of the subject, and lets you unconsciously locate yourself with the surroundings for the photo- rather than leaving you wondering about that instead of the subject. The underwater parts still have a faint tint, and you can see all the ripples and whiskers.
Over all, I'd call this very well composed and captured. I especially love the white spots on both ears. Definitely a print-worthy shot!

How did you manage to take a picture of a tiger?

For me, this is one of rare example of situation when strong afternoon light works actually better than evening one. But this is the exemption making the rule.

Fantastic look with the waterlines on the spacey black. Almost ethereal looking.

Ahoj, to teď bohužel asi nepůjde, i když pokud chceš udělat fotky v pražské zoo se spoustou vody, není asi lepší moment :/.

Smutný to.

Oni přesunuli sibiřáky dolů do toho pavilonu?

When clicking on the thumbnail pic, I thought for sure it was gonna be a photoshopped/manipulated image. To my surprise it's just a perfect moment in time you managed to capture on film. Very beautiful. The tiger's colors contrasting against the dark water, absolutely brilliant. Loving the ripple too.

I just can't describe why I like this so much. The unusual angle? The majestic tiger in a "bottomless" sea?
