Description It is not a secret that I was not satisfied with the end result of my "Lost in reflection" ([link] ). So, driven by boredom and desire for revenge, I tried to make a digital different version.
Not satisfied, I decided to publish two different versions of the latest version. I swear these will be the last! Forgive me!
Here below you can find the second version, with the two friends reflected on the surface of Sherlock's tombstone.

Lacrime *abbraccia John* e mi piace Sherlock con quella felpa, better still, mi piace quella felpa. Punto.

Mi pareva assurdo che sfoggiasse ancora il cappotto (evidentemente, Moffat e Gatiss la pensano diversamente) e quindi mi sono pigramente attenuta alla reference che avevo. Sì, quella felpa esiste davvero.

This is lovely! So much better than anything that I can do digitally (which is not much at all). You've got the likeness of Benedict pretty darn well--he can be bit difficult to draw so congrats! And John looks good as well. I like the detail in his coat. Though I think you made Jawn look younger ;] Not that I'm saying that his face is covered in wrinkles, but Martin's face is a little more weathered... or seasoned.

Thank you very much, dearie! Good old Martin is really difficult to portray. He has very common facial features, but paradoxically he's much more difficult to draw than Cumberbatch! I am never satisfied with the result when I draw him...

No prob. And you definitely do have a point. Though Benedict can be difficult to draw, he has distinctive enough features to work with, so as long as you have those down, you're fine. With Martin, one has to really LOOK to see exactly why the heck one's drawing doesn't quite look like him. >_< And sometimes it's just a matter of very minor adjustments, but it's those little things that make a difference. The first time I tried to draw him, I made so many alterations to get his face right.

You are absolutely right. I hope to improve my ability in portraiture over time...
Otherwise, I'll just draw faces invented by me in order to solve the problem! It's a shame, because Freeman's expressions are something exceptional...

Ah yes, isn't that the hope of us all? Le sigh, portraiture is one of the most satisfying yet challenging endeavours because each mistake comes at a cost. Not that mistakes in still lifes and landscapes won't make a difference, but still lifes and landscape tend to be much more forgiving.
And you're right, Freeman really does have great expressions.

I went back and looked at your other version- they're all, of course, amazing! and it was clear to me that they were being reflected in his tombstone...actually it seem more unclear in the newer digital version- but still very good!

Thank you very much, Alison! I am very happy you like all the versions, I admit I gave up on making understandable that the two men are reflected on the tombstone. I could add the landscape of the cemetery, as in the traditional version...
