You're right! The corsets were not only annoying, but they were very bad for the health too, getting the spine and often even the bones of the torso and pelvis deformed!

Yeah, and as if this wasn't enough I've read
that corsets caused some serious problems
with pregnency (like try to have a baby when your
internal organs are squeezed like fishes in a small
metal can O.o)

Beautiful! The entire piece has a very unique style, but still fitting to the time period. It's a wonderful, simple design, but with perfect accents and embellishments, as well as almost palpable textures. Brilliant!
