I desaturated all the little fidly bits around the main area of blood to make it stand out.

I remember this picture! They posted it on Hanson.net Gosh, I loved the shot, even though Taylor was hurt. But hey, that's what the song is about...bleeding for what you love...well, not literally. It's more like, "Suffering" for what you love. I remember Issac made a joke about that lol!
