That is indeed interesting!
Will he be publishing if offically, or as a fanwork, if I might ask?
Anyways, can't wait.

Unfortunately, my best friend passed away in 2012, so the books are written posthumously in his honor. Due to licensing issues however, they will be strictly a fan work - which is how I am sure he would have wanted it anyway. This was a project we had been toying around with since we were kids, and its only until recent events that 1 of us has been able to get around to really doing something about it. The domain we have picked out is: digitalfieldsgaming.com/
There is a bit of demo work up there already. Mostly its just out web guy tinkering with stuff and waiting on additional art files, LoLz
I expect it to generate quite a bit of attention from BattleTech fans; The original art pieces, and overall story lays a very rich background for people to play with, alternate to playing in the set "Dark Ages" BattleTech story that exists now.

I appreciate that. He is another delayed victim of the Iraq/Afghanistan war - PTSD caused him to take his own life. Ironically, BattleTech (And Homeworld) were one of the few things that still brought him joy. So writing these books for me, is a labor of love, not just for the game, but for my friend.
GMTA- I let it be pretty well know what I thought of the "Dark Age", but the concept of the Jihad had a lot of merit, and in my "alternate reality" that makes up these books I put that concept to good use. That's the biggest problem for the BT universe; there needs to be constant conflict to keep the stories generated - Which, by the way, they have set up a universe that does it admirably. In any given year from 2750 (and earlier) forward, there is always llke 3 wars and any number of conflicts ongoing throughout the Successor States, means things never get boring for a player who follows the written BT plotline.
And yes, I would enjoy reading those a lot. I have it marked on my tablet so when I sit down away from the comp, I can give them a peek!

Whats your primary language? I wouldn't mind a translator being on my staff - maybe put a multi-lingual version of the books out!
And thank you again for your condolences, we appreciate them very much. He was a good man, and a good friend. He will be missed.

I've been working on the stats... cause of a piece of custom tech, and tier 5 equipment, namely the component armor and the handheld weapon, it makes it possible to have an LAM that isn't paper thin somewhere in its design. Thank you for the compliments though! I am sure the artists appreciate it!
