Description
A quick weekend watercolour, based on the 5ft tall thistle plant growing in our garden. She seems to be the healthiest plant out there!Thanks to for making the most amazingly beautiful stock [link] I can't resist this series, I want to use all of them!

The colors on this piece are amazing ! What kind of paint/pencils do you use ??

Thanks so much! I use Windsor & Newton tubes and pans. I usually use the tube colours to make up colours for large areas, washes etc, and then the pans for the detailed bits. I have some Caran D'Ache watercolour pencils that are about 15 years old now! I use those for very fine details if I can't get my paintbrushes to behave!

A wonderful personification, great use of green. Thistle plants waving their sunset pink hair and dancing to the sounds of the wind sure seem to fit your drawing perfectly. I must say a little hello to my local ones as I walk by today.
